Tolkien inspired by Galway landscape

Tolkien inspired by Galway landscape (July 11, 2007)
from http://www.galwayindependent.com/news/12702.html
"'Lord of the Rings' author JRR Tolkien spent time in Galway while writing his masterpiece, it has been revealed."
[EDIT] Yes, I know this article really doesn't have anything to do with Irish. I just like taking opportunities to repeat that old story that Tolkien, master of a kazillion languages and creator of a few of his own, found Irish to be too hard. So, if true, that's twice I have him beat.
