I feel like I'm crossing some lines, here -- well, first of all, "WTF" is technically English. Next, in my reading experience "invisible X" is not something that's regarded as said by the cat in question. Also, there are no spelling alterations. Hmm.

Tá sé ceart go leor! In our analysis of this phenomenomenon we should keep in mind that we have made ourselves part OF it, and that we may therefore expand the envelope - within reason of course - which you have done quite acceptably here!

Does an Irish catagoa need to be completely in
Irish? - maybe not.

Also, perhaps the English is the only part the Cat is actually saying, and therefore the "descriptive" element - not said by cat - can be set apart by a switching of languages.

Bottom line. It works for me!

I don't have an easy Irish version of WTF, but I might suggest DCM! I'm thinking, Dar an Cat Mara!, and dropping the "an" would be a small concession, perhaps, to feline grammar. "Cat mara" is used as a phrase for a calamity, and even appears in what I would interpret as "what the hell . . ." types of expressions.

I also like the thought of using BD in that first slot, for that excellent Irish expression, By Dad.
