BBC: Thomas Cook Welsh 'ban' concerns

Okay, yes, I know this one isn't about Irish. Shall we step outside? No? I thought not.
Thomas Cook Welsh 'ban' concerns
"The Commission for Racial Equality in Wales says it will write to Thomas Cook asking the firm to explain why staff have been asked not to speak Welsh."

This is how it starts.
Next they'll be politely asked to remove any Welsh language materials from their computers and work areas as it is "incongruent with efficient work place communication, and may obstruct supervisory ability."
Then their heads will be shaved, they'll be dressed in little uniforms and carted off to missions to learn how to act civilized.

How about use both? That's what Canada does.

The thing that gets me is that the Thomas Cook in question is in Bangor, an awesome town where a fair amount of Welsh is spoken.

It also has/had a nice Greek restaurant where I drank retsina for the first time. Yeah, I know, my life unfolds in weird ways.

Is there a Thomas Cook in Montréal, one wonders? Or is it just a European phenomenon? I suppose inquiring minds could look these things up....
