Not to worry:

"Minister Hanafin added that all the Gaelscoils would have the whole of the first term to immerse the children in the Irish language and culture."

I should think that would be sufficient.

When my two kids went through a Spanish immersion program, people would routinely stand up at various meetings and wonder how their kids were ever going to learn English . . .
